Transformation in Takhwana

Village Organization’s Journey to cleanliness

These are some truly inspiring news from the community of MOJAZ Foundation at the Village Organization (VO) New Takhwana Ittehad, located in UC Mehta Jhedu, Tehsil Chishtian, District Bahawalnagar.

Recently, our community members had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Community Management Skills Training (CMST) and Leadership Management Skills Training (LMST) organized by the esteemed, with generous financial support from the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF).

These transformative training sessions equipped COs and VOs with essential skills and knowledge, empowering them to take proactive steps towards improving village’s living conditions.

Inspired by the insights and lessons learned during these trainings, Mojaz Foundation convened a gathering of VO members and local stakeholders. After engaging in meaningful discussions and brainstorming sessions, we reached a unanimous decision to initiate the “Clean Takhwana Project.”

This initiative reflects collective commitment to enhancing the cleanliness and overall well-being of Mojaz Foundation’s community. To bring our vision to life, mobilized our resources and rallied support from our fellow villagers.

Through the collective efforts, Village Organization (VO) New Takhwana Ittehad successfully raised a fund of Rs. 20,000. This financial backing enabled them to tackle the pressing issue of waste management head-on and keep the village neat and clean.

Mojaz Foundation organized a community cleanup campaign, during which VO members, CRPs, along with enthusiastic local residents, rolled up their sleeves to clean the streets and remove a significant amount of garbage from the main entrance of the village.

The results were truly remarkable. Not only did managed to clear a substantial bulk of waste, but also fostered a palpable sense of camaraderie and shared responsibility among the participants.

This community-driven initiative not only improved the physical environment of Takhwana but also instilled a renewed sense of ownership and pride among the residents.

Witnessing the transformation of surroundings has been a powerful reminder of what can achieve when unite for a common cause.

The success of the Clean Takhwana Project serves as a testament to the power of collective action and community engagement. It highlights the profound impact that capacity-building trainings, such as those provided by Mojaz Foundation, can have on empowering local organizations like this.

Mojaz Foundation firmly believe that our achievement can serve as a beacon of hope and a model for other villages facing similar challenges.

As reflect on this journey, Mojaz Foundation are eager to share our experiences and insights with other communities that may wish to embark on similar initiatives. We hope to inspire further community-led efforts that promote positive social change and sustainable development.

Mojaz Foundation look forward to exploring opportunities for collaboration as we continue our mission to foster positive change within our communities.
