Social Organizer (Applications have closed)

No. of Positions: 8
Location: Bahawalnagar and Khanewal ( 4 in each district)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize communities to actively participate in project activities
  • Conduct community awareness sessions to promote the importance of education for marginalized children, including girls and children with disabilities and from minority groups.
  • Identify and engage local stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and community leaders, to build strong networks of support.
  • Facilitate enrollment campaigns for out-of-school children in Accelerated Learning (AL) centers and formal schools.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting school-based activities that focus inclusion and collaboration among communities.
  • Conduct household visits to address barriers to education and encourage participation.
  • Support project teams in gathering community-level data to inform planning and implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and the community to ensure timely communication and problem-solving.
  • Uphold safeguarding principles in all interactions, ensuring the protection of children and vulnerable groups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community mobilization or related work in development projects.
  • Strong understanding of local contexts and cultural dynamics in Bahawalnagar and Khanewal districts.
  • Proven ability to build trust and establish positive relationships within communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in local languages.
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating community events or campaigns.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusive practices and safeguarding principles.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned districts to engage with communities.
