To commemorate International Women’s Day 2025, the MOJAZ Foundation, under the RSSCR Project, organized a seminar to celebrate the occasion. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 300 attendees, including men, women, youth, and children from the flood-affected union councils of Sheli Garbi and Mata Jhaidu. Representatives from various government departments, including Education, Health, Social Welfare, and Livestock, were present, alongside members of local organizations such as the Press Club, Chishtian Bar Council, the Blinds Association, Fashion Institute, and NRSP. The venue featured various stalls showcasing different products and services, creating an engaging and vibrant atmosphere. Flood-affected communities from multiple villages, including Kotbabul, Basti Budhuwan, Basti Fareed Kot, Chandrani, Dullah Akkoka, Basti Arra, Basti Takhwana, Thengi Agarpur, Thengi Balochan, Jheduwan, Basti Sanata Sial, Basti Mazeed Shah, and Basti Meran Shah, actively participated in the event. These communities, residing in the two affected union councils of Sheli Garbi and Mata Jhaidu in Tehsil Chishtian, were given a platform to engage in discussions on women’s empowerment and community resilience. The event emphasized the importance of inclusivity and equal opportunities, ensuring that even the most vulnerable members of society had access to resources and support.

These key stakeholders played an essential role in advocating for gender equality and the empowerment of women, particularly in flood-affected areas.

A symbolic highlight of the celebration was the release of colorful balloons into the sky, representing freedom, empowerment, and hope for a brighter future. This gesture symbolized a collective commitment to breaking barriers and advancing gender equality. The sight of the balloons soaring high embodied the aspirations of the community and reinforced the ongoing efforts to ensure women’s rights and opportunities. Additionally, as a token of appreciation, gift hampers sponsored by Dr. Shahbaz Bhadera Skin Clinic were distributed to participants. Women actively engaging in the question-and-answer session were rewarded with these hampers, encouraging their participation and enthusiasm.

Mojaz Foundation journey began with a vision—a society where every individual enjoys dignity, security, and a high quality of life. Over the years, we have become a beacon of hope for communities in remote and marginalized districts of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), and Punjab in Pakistan.
